About Her Book – Shattered

Losing Jacquez, Life After Death is a book written by Shanteria Jackson. In this book, Shanteria shares her testimony and experience of healing and grieving after losing a child. She goes into exquisite detail about the worst pain she has ever felt, her pregnancy, her son’s birth, his death, and burial. This pain caused her to blame God at times and curse His name. Shanteria didn’t think she would make it through her journey and share about her suicide attempt and what drove her to that point. She knows it was God who spared and saved her life. Shanteria walks us through a planned pregnancy that she thought would stop or at least ease the pain and her experience of the first year of grieving Jacquez’s life.

January, although it is Shanteria’s most dreaded month of the year, turned out to be a month of visitation from God for her. Jacquez’s life began and ended in that month, but her purpose was also birthed in the same month, years later. That pain revealed her purpose. In the chapter dedicated to Jacquez, whom she refers to as her Guardian Angel and Good Luck Charm, she reveals the dreams and visions she received from God around his birthday. Shanteria wrote this book not just to share her testimony but to help people know they are not alone. To let people know they can get through whatever they are facing with God. He is the ultimate Answer. He is the Healer. For years, Shanteria carried much of her pain and emotions inside and hadn’t shared them with many. Now, after 13 years, she is ready to speak and use her pain to help someone else. By the time you finish reading this book, you should experience healing and hope and feel lighter. This book is not just for mothers who have lost a child and it’s not just for women. This book is for anyone who has lost a loved one, family member, friend, or associate.
