Are you a brand or business owner? If so can you tell us about the products and services you offer?

Currently, I have published my first book, UNDEFEATED: From Trial to Triumph, and recently launched an online course on a similar topic, Overcoming Adversity.

In the future, I have plans for additional books, courses, and life coaching. I am now working on completing my second book, UNDAUNTED: Your Battle Plan for Victorious Living, to be launched this fall. It will also have a coordinating course entitled, Your Battle Plan Bootcamp.

How has writing a book helped your business or brand?

It’s a great way to introduce people to my message and what I have to offer. Having a published book also enhances the credibility and professionalism of what I do.

Tell us about your book .

My book is called UNDEFEATED: From Trial to Triumph, How to Stop Fighting the Wrong Battles and Start Living Victoriously. In it, I teach you how to overcome adversity by knowing your real enemy, your unbeatable God, and your true identity. You were created for victory. It’s time to start living like it. Let me show you how!

In this book, I use metaphors from my military experience as a cadet at the US Air Force Academy and an officer in the USAF, plus my husband’s experience as a fighter pilot to clarify and simplify basic principles of spiritual warfare. I also share illustrations, examples, and funny stories of my life as a mom of eight children. Many people enjoy the book for that reason alone!

What inspired you to write your book?

After losing my son abruptly and unexpectedly in the second trimester, I fell into a very dark place of depression, doubt, and anxiety. Everything I thought I knew about God and my faith was rocked to the core. I was stuck in a pit I couldn’t climb out of.

When the pain of staying the same exceeded the pain of changing my life, I resolved to find a way out. I counter-attacked on the 4 fronts of my life that were under constant assault. I fought back spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Slowly, God began to heal me. I journaled extensively about my recovery during this period and eventually, I realized that what I was learning could help others who find themselves in similar places of defeat. I decided the best way to share that information with others was through a book.

Who is your book for?

Anyone who feels beat up or defeated by life’s unpredictable circumstances and is having trouble reconciling what they know about God with their own personal reality of suffering. It’s written for Christians who are secretly wondering if they bought a lie and for non-Christians who have tried everything else and are finally desperate enough to consider how God can help them overcome their present circumstances. This book is especially helpful to those who struggle with depression and anxiety. Although not written specifically for those who have experienced pregnancy loss, my story does resonate with these women who have suffered similar grief.

Where can people purchase your book?

Online – anywhere books are sold (paperback, hardcover, ebook, kindle)

Also, my website, (ebook digital download or read the first chapter for free to test drive).

What are the top three takeaways you would like your readers to walk away with?

1. Trusting God is better than understanding him.

2. You have to identify the right fight to live victoriously. Your real enemy is not the people or circumstances that you are struggling with. The battle you need to win is much deeper.

3. God is for you. You are his beloved and he has given you everything you need to live a victorious life. He wants you to win.
