1. Please tell us about yourself.
I am Yvonne Lorraine, Transformational Strategist, Veteran, Speaker, Author, and Founder of Innovative ViZions, LLC and Life Changing Community Development Corporation (LCCDC). I help high-performing women lead from a place of peace, not pressure, so they can rise in purpose and power. My journey has been one of faith, healing, and leadership, where peace has become my compass and purpose my mission. Through LCCDC, we also transform lives globally and build communities with hope!
2. Tell us about your book and who your book is for.
UNLEASHED: The GPS to Her Power is written for high-performing women, whether in leadership, business, etc., who silently carry the weight of responsibility while pouring into everyone else. It’s a guide to help them reconnect with their identity, restore balance, and realign with the power and peace that is already within them.
3. What are the top three takeaways you would like your readers to walk away with?
First, to know that healing is the real power move, true success begins when you face your pain instead of pushing past it. Second, to understand that peace is not passive; it’s a powerful strategy that creates clarity, balance, and authenticity. And finally, to believe that no matter the setback, they can rise again, whole, free, and truly unstoppable!
4. What inspired you to write your book?
This book was birthed out of my own storms. I remember one of the most challenging seasons of my life, a true life-or-death moment, when I surrendered and told God, “If I have to go through all of this to help someone else, then so be it.” That surrender became my hope. Over 30 years ago, God met me there and began to rebuild me from the inside out. UNLEASHED became both my testimony and roadmap for every woman ready to rise with peace and in His power.
5. Tell us a little bit about your writing process. Do you use a unique method? What did the beginning stages entail for you?
The process was both exciting and liberating. I sought God for every word, making sure the message was clear and that the stories, scriptures, and strategies unlocked healing and truth for my readers. I followed the Beyond the Book Media (BTBM) method, which I had trusted for years after taking Chanel Martin’s courses and learning from her spirit-led approach. One of the challenging parts was doing my own mindset work, releasing doubt and fully surrendering to God about what He wanted me to share.makes it customizable.
