2. Tell us about your book and who your book is for.
Becoming a Woman of Purpose: Lessons from Godly Women is a faith-filled book for women seeking to understand God’s purpose for their lives and grow deeper in their relationship with Him. Through the inspiring stories of godly women, readers will discover timeless lessons of faith, perseverance, and God’s power at work in unexpected ways. This book encourages women to embrace their God-given purpose with courage, confidence, and trust in God’s plan.
3. What are the top three takeaways you would like your readers to walk away with?
- God Has a Purpose for Every Woman
- Obedience Lead to Spiritual Growth
- You Are Seen, Loved, and Chosen by God
4. What inspired you to write your book?
I was inspired to write this book because I saw how many women, including myself, have asked, “What is God’s purpose for my life?” As I studied the lives of women in the Bible, I discovered that they faced many of the same struggles we face today—fear, doubt, waiting, loss, and uncertainty. Yet through their faith and perseverance, God used them in extraordinary ways.
I wanted to help women see that God still works through ordinary people today. My prayer is that readers will be encouraged by these women’s stories, grow closer to God, and embrace the unique purpose He has designed for their lives.
5. Tell us a little bit about your writing process. Do you use a unique method? What did the beginning stages entail for you?
My writing process begins with prayer, seeking God’s guidance and allowing the Holy Spirit to direct my thoughts and words. I spend time reading the scriptures, reflecting, and being still before I write. Sometimes inspiration comes in the early hours of the morning, and I’ll quickly write ideas down in my notebook. I’ve had a passion for writing since I was a teenager.
For this book, I researched scripture, studied the lives of women in the Bible, and reflected on the experiences of women in my own life—including a dear sister-in-Christ living with Alzheimer’s. Through their stories of challenges, fear, doubt, waiting, and uncertainty, I identified lessons that could encourage and inspire women in their everyday walk with God.
6. In terms of publishing, what was that process like for you? And why did you choose BTBM?
The process was both educational and rewarding, and I appreciated the wealth of resources available to help authors become successful. I chose BTBM after seeing author Karla L. McCullum on a television commercial promoting her book, Lessons Learned From Dating. I ordered her book and was impressed with the appearance.
7. What advice would you give to authors or even entrepreneurs wanting to start or those in the process of writing a book?
My advice to aspiring authors and entrepreneurs is to believe in the vision God has placed in your heart and take the first step, even when the path is unclear. Don’t let fear, doubt, or perfectionism stop you from pursuing your dreams. Be willing to learn, do your research, and invest in your growth. Trust God’s timing, stay committed to your purpose, and remember that someone is waiting to be encouraged by the message only you can share. Keep writing, keep learning, and never give up.
8. Where can people find your book and support you?
Readers can purchase Becoming a Woman of Purpose: Lessons from Godly Women on Amazon. They can also support me by following my author journey on social media, sharing the book with family and friends, leaving an honest review on Amazon, and inviting me to speak at women’s events, book clubs, and conferences. Every purchase, review, and recommendation helps this message reach more women seeking to discover and embrace their God-given purpose.
9. What is next for you and your brand? What can we look forward to in the coming months or years?
I look forward to continuing to inspire and encourage women through writing and speaking. My goal is to expand the Becoming a Woman of Purpose brand with future books, devotions, and bible studies that help women grow in their faith and embrace their God-given purpose. Above all, I pray that my work continues to point women to Christ and encourage them to walk confidently in His plan for their lives.
